I have a question about car inspection law in NC.?

I went to get my car inspected today, and it did not pass because I have graphics on the back windshield (which advertise my business.)  The graphics cover a small percentage of the glass.  I don't understand this.  I see such adverts on countless vehicles, and what about vehicles with no back windshields (semis, cargo vans, box trucks, etc.) or very limited visibility (limos, buses, vehicles with trailers, etc.)?  Was this inspector right?  I don't understand.

Check the regs.  Download the manual here: http://www.ncdot.org/dmv/vehicle_service… and then if the inspector was in the wrong, take it back with the manual, and if they still fail you, ask to see the manager or foreman.  If you still have issues, take your vehicle to a different inspection station if possible.  If you cannot, and you still have problems, write your congressman or local legislature.
