i have a '99 pontiac grand am 6 cylinder SE
it has no service lights come on except for low windshield washer fluid (but im sure that has nothing to do with the was the car runs) my tires are only a year old, my ac doesent work (idk if that has anything to do with the way the car runs) it has had problems before like overheating but i have always took it to a shop and got the problems fixed right away and it has been doing good for awile... i am 19 years old and the car is in my moms name because she pays the insurance (i just have to pay repair bills and gas) my boyfriend lives 4 hours away and i was wondering if it would make it on the long trip and back with no problems? i have went down there once with no problems but i am just so scared that it will break down i havent been back since, i have to sneak down there and if it breaks down i would defiantly have to call my parents and tell them and i dont want to have to explain why im so far away (besause i just tell them im staying at my friends house). and my mom is always threatening to report it stolen if she finds out im somewhere im not supposed to be!
so would my car make it a long distance?
any and all answers will be appreciated :)

No one could say with certainty that a brand new car could do a 4 hour trip there and back without breaking down.

But if that is somewhere you aren't supposed to be, and you have to sneak to be there, don't make the trip.

Of course, at 19 you are an adult, and could move out and get your own car and pay your own insurance.

no one can say for absolutely certain that your car will make it down there and back with absolutely no problems one of your hoses could get a hole, your engine could overheat, blow a tire, get into a accident, you could lose all your oil with a rock puncturing your oil pan and kill your car a lot of things can happen and no one can say for sure

By your description it should, but ask someone who knows if it has enough antifreeze in it.  I they want to put water in instead DON"T LET THEM. Water would never last for that long of a trip.

If you have kept it maintain and not miss any scheduling. Then it should last. But another factor you didn't tell us. How many miles the car has.
